We work with our customers as a one-stop shop for infrastructure services, to ensure that our clients’ projects are designed, communicated and implemented effectively and consistently from start to finish. Sometimes that means that Island Grid leads and runs all aspects of a project, and sometimes we simply augment our customers’ teams with the necessary services to round out their expertise base.

Our Projects

  • Walkers Cay

    4+ years of work for the developer of Walkers Cay; designed and built a generation and distribution system model, sourced and installed 4 miles of underground cables, rehabilitated undersea cable and connections on Little Grand Cay, and paralleled distribution assets to maximize output and system protection.

  • Grand Cayman

    Working with the Cayman Utilities Company to provide on-site engineering and electrical construction for the design and upgrade of the island’s overhead distribution network to accommodate additional wind load strength and create space for telecommunication services.

  • Iceland

    For the Government of Iceland, we evaluated international go-to market strategies for the nation’s emerging geothermal technologies.

  • Grand Bahama

    For Grand Bahamas Power Company (Emera), performed feeder rebuild and hardening construction prior to the upcoming storm season.

  • Hawai'i

    For the local utility, Hawaiian Electric, designed and conducted a strategic planning workshop to update the utility’s regulatory strategy

  • Eleuthera

    End-to-end electric and telecom engineering and construction project for high-end Jack’s Bay Development, including generation, substation, distribution, renewable energy solutions and fiber backbone.

  • Hawai'i

    In partnership with the State Government of Hawaii and Hawaiian Electric, developed Illumination Hawaii, a multistakeholder meeting and expo to boost momentum and stakeholder buy-in for the island’s energy transition.

  • Orlando Utilities Commission

    Provided a full suite of stakeholder engagement services (educational website and video, C&I focus groups, advisory group management, community meetings, community polling, etc) to assist Orlando Utilities Commission’s Electric Integrated Resource Planning process.

  • Nassau

    Working with the Bahamas Utility Company to build an Air Insulated Substation (AIS) connecting a new power plant to the BPL grid on New Providence so that the substation will be wind rated and corrosion resistant.

  • New York State

    Worked with New York State to name, communicate and launch the state’s EV rebate program and support the initiative through its first five years with targeted consumer marketing and dealer engagement efforts.
